After replacing vehicle stability control components or after undertaking  a wheel alignment , the SAS requires to be calibrated. SAS can be reset using suitable scan tool, or perform the following:

Clear the zero point calibration data:

  1. Turn the ignition switch off
  1. Check that the steering wheel is in the straight-ahead position
  2. Check that the shift lever is in neutral and apply the parking brake
  3. Turn the ignition switch to ON
  4. The warning light and indicator light come on for three seconds to indicate that the initial check is completed
  5. Connect and disconnect terminals 4 and 12 of the DLC four times or more within eight seconds

Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and deceleration sensors:

Whilst this process is being carried out, ensure the vehicle remains stationary (no shaking) and on a level surface (less than 1°)

  1. Turn the ignition switch off
  2. Check that the steering wheel is in the straight -ahead position
  3. Check that the shift lever is in neutral and apply the parking brake
  4. Connect terminals 4 and 12 of the DLC
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON
  2. After test mode has been entered , keep the vehicle stationary on a level surface for five seconds or more
  3. Check that the slip indicator light comes on for several seconds and then blinks in test mode

If the slip indicator light does not blink, perform zero point calibration again.

The zero point calibration is performed only once after the system enters the test mode.

Calibration cannot be performed again until the stored data is cleared.

Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the link from the DLC.

Otherwise if wish to diagnose all issues with your Toyota vehicle, we recommend a diagnosis reader.
